Create promotional codes and track their performance

The Discounts dashboard lets you create and manage promotional codes, track redemptions, and analyze the impact of your promotions.

Accessing Discounts

Navigate to Products → Discounts to manage your discount codes.

Discount List

View all your discounts with key metrics:

Creating a Discount

  1. Click New Discount
  2. Choose discount type:
    • Percentage off - e.g., 20% off
    • Fixed amount - e.g., $10 off
  3. Enter the discount code (or generate random)
  4. Set the discount value
  5. Configure restrictions (optional):
    • Maximum redemptions (total and per customer)
    • Minimum purchase amount
    • Valid date range
    • Eligible products or prices
    • First-time customers only
  6. Click Create Discount

Duration Settings (Subscriptions)

For recurring products, configure how long the discount applies:

OnceApplies to first payment only
ForeverApplies to all future payments
RepeatingApplies for X billing periods
"Forever" discounts should be used carefully as they permanently reduce revenue from that subscription.

Setting Restrictions

Usage Limits

  • Total redemptions - Maximum times code can be used overall
  • Per customer - Maximum times a single customer can use it

Product Scope

  • All products - Discount works everywhere
  • Specific products - Select which products are eligible
  • Specific prices - Select which price configurations

Customer Restrictions

  • First-time customers only - New customers only
  • Specific customers - Pre-assign to certain customers
  • Minimum purchase - Require minimum order value

Discount Analytics

Click any discount to view detailed analytics:

  • Redemption history - Who used it and when
  • Revenue impact - Total discount amount given
  • Conversion lift - Compare to non-discounted sales
  • Customer acquisition - New customers from this code
  • LTV analysis - Lifetime value of discounted customers

Managing Discounts

Editing

You can edit certain fields on active discounts:

  • Maximum redemptions (can increase, not decrease below current)
  • Expiration date (can extend)
  • Product restrictions (can expand)
The discount code, value, and type cannot be changed after creation. Create a new discount if you need different settings.

Archiving

Archive a discount to stop it from being used:

  1. Open the discount details
  2. Click Archive
  3. Confirm the action

Archived discounts cannot be redeemed but historical data is preserved.
