How Fees Work

RevKeen is designed with straightforward pricing. This page explains the fee structure so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Fee Overview

There are two categories of fees when using RevKeen:

1. RevKeen platform fees -- The subscription and/or per-transaction fees for using the RevKeen platform.
2. Payment processing fees -- The fees charged by your payment gateway (such as NMI or Elavon) for processing each transaction.

These are separate charges. RevKeen platform fees cover the software, dashboard, analytics, and automation. Payment processing fees go to the gateway and card networks.

Transaction Fees

RevKeen platform fee: 1.7% + £0.10 per transaction (all plans).

This is the same rate on Standard, Pro, and Unlimited. There is no per-plan variation in transaction fees.

On top of the RevKeen platform fee, your payment processor charges their own fees:

Your total processing cost = gateway fees + RevKeen platform fee.

How Fees Are Deducted

Fees are deducted from each payout before funds reach your bank account:

1. Customer pays $100
2. Gateway processing fee is deducted (e.g., 2.9% + $0.30 = $3.20)
3. RevKeen platform fee is deducted (if applicable on your plan)
4. Net amount is included in your next payout

Subscription Plans

RevKeen offers three plans. The transaction fee (1.7% + £0.10) is the same on all plans.

What Is Included

Every RevKeen plan includes:

• Full dashboard with analytics and reporting
• Hosted checkout pages
• Invoice and subscription management
• Customer portal
• Email notifications
• Webhook integrations
• Multi-user access with role-based permissions
• PCI-compliant payment handling

Refund Fees

When you issue a refund:

• The full amount is returned to the customer
• The original processing fee is typically not refunded by the gateway
• RevKeen does not charge an additional fee for processing refunds

This means refunds cost you the original processing fee. Voids (same-day reversals before settlement) avoid this cost entirely because the transaction is canceled before fees are assessed.

Chargeback Fees

When a customer files a dispute (chargeback):

• The disputed amount is immediately held from your balance
• A chargeback fee (typically $15-25) is charged by the bank
• If you win the dispute, the disputed amount is returned, but the chargeback fee usually is not
• If you lose, both the amount and fee are permanent

• Cancellation fees
• PCI compliance fees
• Monthly minimum fees
• Batch processing fees

Viewing Your Fees

To review fees:

• Per transaction -- Open any transaction in Income to see the fee breakdown
• Per payout -- Open any payout in Payouts to see total fees deducted
• Over time -- Use Analytics to track fee trends relative to revenue
